Hello, Have installed Ubuntu 9.04 Server on VirtualBox and I want to install ISP Config 3... Do I have to use the command line after login into my server to install ISP Config 3 or is there any other way?... I am actually new to Linux and so any help will be very much appreciated... Thanks & Regards, Praveen Thomas ----->p3core
Did you really install Ubuntu 9.04 which is nearly 10 years old? The current Ubuntu LTS version is 18.04. Using such an outdated Ubuntu version makes no sense and you can not use ISPConfig 3.1 on it anyway as all software that ships with Ubuntu 9 is way too old.
Hello Till, Thanks a lot for your reply... ISPConfig website says ISPConfig can be used with Ubuntu 8.10 and above... So I thought I can install and see how it goes... Anyway Till please tell me how to install ISPConfig in virtualbox... I don't mind downloading Ubuntu 18.04... Thanks & Regards, Praveen Thomas
Create the virtual host in your Virtualbox, put like 2 Gb memory and 32 Gb disk. Less disk if you do only small testing. Then follow the installation guide: https://www.howtoforge.com/tutorial...l-pureftpd-bind-postfix-doveot-and-ispconfig/
This is a also good tutorial: https://linuxhint.com/install_ubuntu_18-04_virtualbox/ (just change ubuntu 18.04 desktop image with ubuntu 18.04 server image in your installation).
Hello, Thanks a lot for your replies... I will check out the tutorials and see how it goes... You guys are awesome... Thanks & Regards, Praveen Thomas
