I've read a comment, you cannot run Windows XP as a guest if both Fedora & Windows are on the same SATA hard drive. I can't find any further information about this. This will be my first serious attempt at Linux, but I will need to use XP for the time being. Could anyone advise me, for example do I need to install a second SATA drive or a IDE drive. Wrinkley
I don't know why this shouldn't work. All you have to do is convert your physical Windows system into a virtual one that you can then use in VMware: http://www.howtoforge.com/vmware_converter_windows_linux
wmware convertor fedora 7 Thanks for your replies, feel more confident about trying now. If you don't hear from me again on this subject you can take as mission accomplished. Thanks again. Wrinkley
