I just sent my first mass emailing for one of our sites. To me it seemed a bit slow in clearing out the mail queue after each round of 1000 mails. I set up my Postfix/ISPConfig3 system using the standard HowTo setup, and I was wondering if there is there a way to test just how many mails are going out per minute?
For example, you can write a script that sends out emails with numbers in the subject and another one that fetches the emails with pop3 from a recipient mailbox or you pipe the emails to a script and then measure the time that it takes to send out the emails.
