My server contains over 60 sites which i manage, modify and work on. However it's a little annoying su'ing to root to work on these sites, not to mention stupid - so far i've not yet gotten around to finding a solution for this. Is these a built in group within ispconfig in which i can just su to? i can see that my web customers have client0 client1 etc etc.. can i create a group to cover all these? or do i add shell users manually? (that will take some time)..
Each website has its own user and each client has its own group, a website is owned by the user of the website and the group of the client. I won't add all sites to one group security wise.
Yeah I understand. Is there any way of aiding workflow, and not using ROOT access to work on all sites? or is it a case of basically creating a shell user for each account.
