I've just setup a new Debian Server and have also installed ISPConfig.

The one problem I am having is

/var/www contains all my web folders for Apache but

when i create a domain in ISPConfig the domain is created in /var/www/www.xyc.com but when you FTP / SSH in as the sub user the home folder is located within /var/www/web1/ which contains another /web/ folder.

Apache is using the /var/www/www.xyz.com to display the page when you browse to it tho.

    Am i just overlooking something?

You must make your FTP user the admin of that web site. His home folder will then be changed to /var/www/www.xyz.com.

Is this within the proftd.conf or within ISPConfig?

In ISPConfig. Go to the user'S settings in ISPConfig and mark the "Administrator" checkbox.
