Hi volks! Something strange is going on! I added a web in ISPConfig and now its saved in the DNS-Manager ... but its not related to the coustomer. If i want to delete it, its moved into the trashfolder. Then I want to clear the trashfolder but that doesn't work! And now I got the Problem, that I can't add the Web again. So I can't host this Website ... Any Ideas?
Websites are never added tp the DNS manager. I guess you mix up a website with a primary DNS record. These are two absolutely different things. A primary DNS-Record is added when you crete a website and check the create DNS checkbox. Make sure that you emptied the correct recycle bin. The websites have there recycle bins in the ISP-Manager and the DNS-Records have their own Recycle bins in the DNS-Manager.
i didn't mix up anything ... here is the screenshot: i just restored it form the trash folder ... EDIT: And i renamed it ... there were some erros but it worked in an way ... but adding the web again still not works ...
I've seen an option under 'Tools -> Move websites' where you can re-shuffle the location of websites. I used that when I started with ISPConfig and found that you can do things which you should be able to do. But maybe this could be a solution for you. With this option, you can move sites to various places, to admin, to a reseller or to a client. Perhaps by playing around you can move it out of the way to such a location that you can delete it? Wild guess, but maybe it helps. No guarantees with this post though. If it screws things, you've been warned.
The main problem is that from a normal point of view, its impossible that this happens, if a) mysql is not totally damaged or b) the ISPConfig sourcecode has been altered. The ISP-Manager and DNS-Manager use different database tables for their tree view and data records and the names are hardcoded in the sources. The only solution that I see at the moment is a complete removal and reinstallation of ISPConfig. You can try to run a ISPConfig update before, but I'am not sure if this helps.
uhm ... the maschine is productive already ... there is no way of deleting a dataset in the db manualy? if i have to reinstall: is it enough to just reinstall or do i have to remove everything first? And i guess there is no way of keeping existing data ... by the way, mysql is working fine :/
Sure you can deelet the data in the database, but I guess this wont help you at all as the same will happen when you enter the next website. But you can try it, its not easy as you will have to delete every record in three tebles referenced by their internal ID's. Just reinstall ISPConfig, not the server.
