webmail port

    Hi,
My installation is from the guide "the perfect server fedora 13 86_64" so I'm using ISPConfig 3 for all the setups.

I'm trying to access webmail from a remote pc but consistently get:

    Unable to connect
Firefox cannot establish a connection to the server at server1.example.com.

I can get to webmail from the linux box without a problem (that includes logging in).
When I do a dig FQDN from the linux box it comes back without an error.
I did not setup the DNS with ISPConfig because I'm using Zoneedit and did not want any conflicts (did not think this is the problem).

The only other thing I can think of is that my netgear router is blocking the port. Without putting my box in the DMZ does anyone know what port I should have open for webmail. OR does anyone have any suggestions.
    Thanks
    LP

I did a web search and redid ports 143 and 993 on my router.
Does anyone else have any suggestions?
    thanks

The "web" part of webmail should give you a hint. :p

Port 80 and 443, both TCP.

Hey Matty, thanks but that was it.
I did have port 80 open (and was able to get webpages) but not 443. I opened 443 and tried to get to webmail from outside the linux box as was successful.

Thanks a ton. I'm going to spend time learning about the various ports and services they work with.
