Webmail is running slow and I probably need to vacuum the database, but I don't know the correct commands--anyone know what they are?

I'm running debian 3 with ispconfig and UebiMiau!

Any other tips for maintenance would be much appreciated.

UebiMiau does not use a database, so there is no vacuum. What you might want to do is to empty the recycle bin and clean up the send items folders.

Ouch--can I do that globally? Gonna be kind of hard to do for 100 clients if I have to login to each mail account.

I'm also having trouble doing backups now, even just doing 10 sites at a time it usually fails or times out.

When I had problems like this on ensim, I vacuumed the database. Any ideas on what I can do here?

Webmail runs on a per user basis. If someone has 1000 emails in their inbox, it's got to fetch 1000 emails to display the inbox, and that will take some time.

Conversely, if they have 1 email, only that gets fetched, and it is quick.

Is there a secure way to move from mailbox to maildir? A friend told me that using maildir is much faster than mailbox.
