Hi everyone, i'm come bak on ispconfig I'm under ISPONFIG 3.0.5.4 on debian 8 (auto-install soyoustart). I've configured a client, add a dedicated ip (ipv4) on this client, add a website (empty for moment) under this client WITH dedicated ip. My DNS zone is managed under OVH panel : mydomain NS dns18.ovh.net. mydomain NS ns18.ovh.net. mydomain A my dedicated ip www.mydomain A my dedicated ip But when i try to load demo page under this account with enter my url (mydomain), i've just an error because server not responding or take lot of time to response... I've modified this DNS zone recently, do you think it's just a propagate time ? and after wait, it's ok ? Or do you think it's an other problem ? Thx for help !
This can be the case, it can take up to 24 hours until the dns change propagated to all dns mirrors. But you can also use this method for testing: http://www.faqforge.com/linux/contr...ess-a-namebased-website-without-a-dns-record/ change the hosts file on your desktop, this will work immediately and can be used on windows, mac and linux desktops.
