    Hi folks,
maby this question was answerd before ... ?
On my system (debian/etch) all needed packages are already installed ( apache2, mysql, etc...).
So why compile all those packages, provided with ispconfig, and packages i don't need as for ex. spamassassin, procmail, etc..
I use maildrop, not procmail, apache2 and not apache-1.3.

    best regards

ISPConfig comes with its own Apache (running on port 81) for serving the ISPConfig frontend. IT doesn't replace your main Apache on port 80. That way, if your main Apache crahses, you can still access ISPConfig.
