What ip is best, local or internet

    I have 1 static public ip and I am behind a firewall that is forwarding traffic to my ISPConfig 3 server. I set my server up using the ip 10.1.0.16. Should I use this ip throughout the ISPConfig 3 settings and DNS and Website settings? or should I always use the public ip?

    Best practise is to use internal IP as in your case it was 10.1.0.16. However both IPs can be used.
