So I leased a new dedicated server. I used to use DirectAdmin, but I am promoting open source/free software for my sites and wanted an Open Source OS/Control Panel combo to host clients on.

    I am using CentOS 5.4 64bit
    I am using IspConfig 3.0.2.1

My datacenter installed the OS and the Panel after I had trouble.

(For privacy I am replacing my domain name with "domain")
    Server name is server.domain.com
    I own domain.com
I setup ns1.domain.com and ns2.domain.com to the 2 IP addresses the datacenter assigned to my box at godaddy.com last night (had to change the IP's from my old directadmin server host)

    I can access ISPConfig from http://IP ADDRESS:8080/

What I want is to get server.domain.com:8080 to resolve to the ISPConfig.

I want domain.com and www.domain.com to resolve to a client site account promoting my services on server.domain.com

I cant seem to find any info on ispconfig 3 as to what to do after you finish installation, and it looks like ispconfig 2 is totally different layout.

Thats failrly self explaining if you look into ispconfig. Just login to ispconfig, go to sites, click on add new site, enter domain.com in the domain field and click on save. Then go to the dns module and create a dns record for domain.com, the easiest way is to use the dns wizard if you are not that familar with dns.

Okay, So I did that... domain.com now resolves correctly, however I cant seem to figure out how to get email setup.

    I setup a email domain called domain.com
I created a client, and a email mailbox that is [email protected]

If I go to domain.com/webmail , I get the squirrelMail login, I put in [email protected] as the username and the password I created for that user. I then get the error:

ERROR: Connection dropped by IMAP server.

    Now what?

Thanks for your help, but I believe I have solved the problem, it was my host name.
