I have installed ISPConfig 3 following the guide for Debian. I have no clue what to do next to get this to work. I been playing around with the settings and I have not had any luck. I plan to have my server setup to host many sites but I don't know what to do next. I own two domains. One is Baddiesinc, a WoW guild site. The other is BBUnlimited, a Blackberry website. Baddiesinc has its own hosting plan but I like to change that to my server but before I do that. I like to get the BBUnlimited on working 1st. It does not have a website setup for it, only the place holder the register put in place. How do I go about getting this down. I am not afriad to learn and read but everything that I have found on this site and other is not working for me. My server setup has not changed from the the guide. Any help would be great.
Seems like you need some professional help. However I would like to give you some hints. 1) create a DNS zone records in ISPConfig3 for the bbunlimited.com. Right now it is pointed to netfirms.com. Use the DNS template of ISPCOnfig3 for ease. I believe you have 2 public IPs to host DNS servers (as failover) 2) Also create a site in ISPConfig3 under 'Sites' tab for bbunlimited.com 3) Then make changes in the domain control panel of your domain registrar and point the nameservers to the new nameservers that you have created in step 1 (maybe they may ask you for a relevant IP too) 4) Wait for a few minutes to few hours (upto 48 hours) to get the changes circulate. You can check with dig command like 'dig bbunlimited.com' to see whether they are pointed to your localservers. 5) And finally you can access default index.html. Then do whatever you want to do with your site by making changed in /var/www/bbunlimited.com/web directory. I hope this helps.
