I have come across some information that Ubuntu 18.04 stores DNS in /etc/netplan/01-netcfg.yaml ? My 18,.04 has the resolvconf configuration, is this wrong or counter-productive?
We normally create the said network file. I never use resolvconf and don't think it is necessary to manually configure it.
I think my english is right as I clearly mentioned resolvconf and use it thereafter which should definitely refers to resolvconf, not dns. This 01-netcfg.yaml is for the server connection and we do assign our fixed server ips and preferred public dns server ip in there. Please do read the basic tutorial about setting this on ubuntu 18.04: https://www.howtoforge.com/tutorial/ubuntu-lts-minimal-server/2/#g0.0.7
