    Hi all,

    I followed;
    Installing iRedMail And Mailman On Debian Squeeze
    http://www.howtoforge.com/installing-iredmail-and-mailman-on-debian-squeeze#comment-30870

    installing iRedMail

    I was stuck here;
    Code:
    4. Setting up Transport and Alias accounts
    ...
    Click on the "vmail" database in the left panel

    I couldn't find "vmail" database there, only "Please select a database". Whether I need to create it, a new database"?

    However on
    MySQL 127.0.0.1
    Create new database Documentation
    Which collation I have to select?
    Code:
    MySQL connection collation: utf8_general_ci

    Please advise. TIA

    B.R.

    I login as MySQL root with its password.

    # ls /var/lib/mysql/
    Code:
    amavisd          ib_logfile0  mysql               postfixpolicyd
    debian-5.1.flag  ib_logfile1  mysql_upgrade_info  roundcubemail
    ibdata1          iredadmin    phpmyadmin

    Solved

    Hi all,

    During installing iRedMail
    re: Choose your preferred backend

    "MySQL" must be selected, NOT the default setting "OpenLADP". I overlooked this point on the Howto. Now "vmail" is displayed on the left panel. I'm now continue installing iRedMail. I'll come back if encountering further problem. Thanks.
