My client wants to block some file type, where can I manually config which type I want to block?

And, my client said sometimes will block the xls file, but sometimes will pass, what's the rule to block? Thanks.

You can set the banned file type in the amavisd.conf file

I looked in amavisd.conf, but I can't see any criterion to filter the xls files. My case now is, from the same sender, sometimes his email will blocked by ISP because of the attachement, sometimes will pass. How can I sort out that the xls can pass? Because not just one email account got that problem, so, whitelist is not the solution.

There are no banned files by default in amavisd.conf, only if you set them manually. So if you have not set banned files and emails does not get delivered, you should check the mail log for the reason.
