I have not played around with Linux since 2002 and I'm know retired and looking to play around with it again. I've got an older Dell computer with the 2nd gen I7 chip, 8 gig ram and 128 gig ssd that I'm going to use. I used to mainly mess around with Ubuntu. Which OS do you all suggest as a good one for an old guy that has not played with it in a little bit? Thanks
Use the one you are familiar with If you are unsure, get a bootable USB stick and live-version of the system. Then you can try it before installation. Ubuntu is a good choice, because it has a big community. Linux Mint is based ob Ubuntu/Debian and has a lot of fans, too. Do a google search with the distribution and the model of your computer and see if there are problems ;-)
