I have three computers that I want to be able to swap files between. One has WinXP Pro, one has Win Vista X64, and of course the third is a Linux Box with Ubuntu 7.10. The two windows machines talk to each other just fine and the Ubuntu machine sees the windows workgroup and the computers attached to it, but when I click on a specific computer in the network while using Ubuntu, it says it can not connect to it. I have managed to use the printers attached to the windows machines from Ubuntu, that was a pretty straight forward procedure, no problems there. I guess my question here is if any of the current how to's address what I want to do?? Thanks!
I think you can use that in the address bar of your Linux file browser, e.g. \\192.168.0.100 or smb://192.168.0.100
