Why maildir an not mbox?

    I'm running ispconfig with centos 4.3
    After i change to maildir format i have a problem with hypermail
    Hypermail use mbox format en not maildir, i will back to mbox but how?
    Maby i can convert maildir2mbox? the problem is the new mail must be append to mbox.
    Any solution??

    You must install another POP3/IMAP daemon then. I guess you are currently using dovecot, but dovecot uses Maildir, not mbox.

    You can use maildir2mbox to convert your mailboxes: http://www.ezmlm.org/man/man1/maildir2mbox.1.html

    BTW, I don't recommend to change to Sendmail. It's so difficult to configure. Postfix is very easy compared to that.

    And dont forget to uncheck the "maildir" checkbox in ISPConfig under management > server > settings :)
