Wildcard Let's Encrypt Certs

    Does ISPConfig support wildcard certificates and if so how do you issues one so subdomains on WordPress work without errors?

    No

    Wildcard SSL certs are not necessary for that as ISPConfig adds sub- and alias domains automatically to the LE cert of that website.

    Does this mean each sub-domain would have to manually be added to the control panel for the cert to work?

    Yes, if you have a site "example.com", you will have to add the subdomains as alias/subdomains.

    Note the limit of 100 for this though you may actually use far less than that.
