Hello, i have Wordpress-Installations on my ISPConfig-Server. Wordpress itself runs perfect. But every Installation has Problems with updating Plugins, Themes and Core-Update. It is incredibly slow with downloading and installing the files. Core-Update is the most time impossible because of Timeouts. Even when i increase the time to 600 it is not possible to update. Is there a way to make the Vhosts faster? I think its a problem with file-fetching from external resources. I am using FastCGI for the sites.
The vhosts are as fast as your server and the network connection of your server is. is this a virtual server?
no. a root server @ Hetzner. wget and stuff is fast as hell I have the problem only with Wordpress. Typo3 for example has also no problems with updates.
ok you are right. after testing with wget to get the latest.zip it is the server-connection which is very very slow.
