I was made to reinstall my mysql server and delete /var/lib/mysql (I made backup) and after reinstalling I overwrite backup to /var/lib/mysql...

Maybe this is the problem of mysql version. That in 5.5 in comparison to 5.1 "master" options are disabled? or am I wrong?
