11 Postfix With SMTP-AUTH And TLS

I enter this command

openssl genrsa -des3 -rand /etc/hosts -out smtpd.key 1024

it tells me to enter pass phrase for smtpd.key. what am I suppose to enter here? I entered the 1024 twice and it took it. but I want to make sure I am doing this the right way.
