A complete Noobie Question

Been a Linux user now for three days, specifically CentOS 5.
I have two problems which I cannot resolve.

I have ISPConfig installed and up with a test site on it. I cam access ISPConfig from anywhere when I am out on the road during the day.

    Problem # 1.
I am behind a Netopia Cayman 3300 DSL router. I've set pinholes. I can FTP into the test site with no problem, upload files no problem. I cannot however access the site.
When I attempt to set a pinhole for port 80, I get the following error:

    Config Mode v1.2
    ERROR:
Pinhole element HTTP has conflict with internal
    Web-TCP service 80,
Either change pinhole port or redirect Web Port.
    Validation did not pass!

All other ports set with no problem. Recommendations??

    Problem #2
I've seen this addressed in other threads, but the answers were well above my head at this point. Bind-Server is offline and will not start. I've double and triple checked my packages, even performed a complete re-install of everything. When I attempt to restart "named" services I get:

mdc: connection failed: 127.0.0.1 #953 connection refused

Help and comments would be greatly appreciated.

An after thought after I posted this thread. I can access the test site using https protocol - just tested it - the shower is an amazing place to clear your head.

    Thanks.

I don't know your router, but as I understand the error message, your router's web interface is running on port 80 and is accessible from outside your LAN, that's why your router can't forward port 80. Try to disallow outside access to your router's web interface.

Any errors in your log files? Did you use this guide to set up CentOS 5.0? http://www.howtoforge.com/perfect_setup_centos5.0

    Got It..

Took quite a bit of reading, but finally got it.

Had to change port router was using to be able to tunnel through.

Multiple sites up and running, yet bind is still offline.

    Most puzzling.

Now off to solve Squirrel Mail..
