Hi, I can't connect with active ftp when trying to open a ftp connection in Kate or firefox. I can connect with gftp and active mode. Is there a way to get this working, I've searched but not found any solution?
Well i thought so too, but I can connect with gftp in active mode. So then it shouldn't be a firewall problem should it?
It should. Take a look here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File_Transfer_Protocol#Connection_methods Seems as if your passive ports are blocked by the firewall.
