apt-get -y install certbot

    cant locate package. do i have to manualy install or am i missing a repo?

    Which Distribution? The package exists in ubuntu 16.10. For older versions or Debian 8, use the instructions from the tutorial that matches the OS version.

    it ubuntu 16.10, i cant find the package.

    Here is my sources.list

    No, your system is Ubuntu 16.04, look at your sources.list

    Mabey i can just do this?

    or should i delete the server an folow guide for 16.04?

    Just install certbot as you described. If you have installed ispconfig, just run update.php from your ispconfig-download (folder install) and reconfigure the services.

    update.php, cant find that file. also, how can i check if its working? not sure if it installed like the guide.
