Authentification SMTP failed

systemctl status dovecot
if it is not running

systemctl restart dovecot
journalctl -xeu dovecot

 

It's weird because
If I sent from yahoo to myserver (at admin@clicshopping,org), I have the email inside roundcube and the email is redirected to gmail.
Now via the alias created inside google on [email protected] to yahoo. If I sent an email and I receive the information on yahoo
Idem for google.

But if I do that from rouncube it does not work

it can help, maybe
the 587 port does not work

make sure your /etc/hosts
has the following entry at the very top
the $hostname in postfix main.cf works for me! it defnitly uses the correct banner
with $hostname if set up properly according to the howto

I have the latest ispconfig and the update was fine, no error,

What I do :
update ispconfig to the latest version
upgrade ubuntu to 24.04 via a normal ubuntu upgrade.
I do not had error if I remember

Maybe if do that : sudo ispconfig_update.sh --force ???

Where does that username mails and hostname clickshopping.eu come from? Is this the login failure you mention?

Always same problem, roundcube doest not want to work.
But I can send and receive email, it's correct.

I assume you started watching the log too late.
The login attempt from localhost is almost ended there ( log starting with disconnect from localhost )
But the interesting part would be earlier in the log.

Do you start watching the log before logging in?
If there is too much clutter, right before logging in hit the return key a few times, it'll add some spacing in your console ( only )

I tested it, it works for me. it just does not use secure connection on localhost which might be bad or not, depending on situation. but it defnitly works, as a start
