automatic temporary URL for new sites

Probably you have at least one vhost with the ip set instead of *. This means the sites with * won't show up anymore as ip has precedence above *. Either you need to set all pages using ip or all set to *
You can check via apachectl -S

all my sites now set with ip.. is it good? or should i set all of them to *? plz advice..

 

That depends on your personal preference. Just don't mix them and make sure that your clients (if they can set up websites themselves) cannot create a site with the option you didn't set for all other websites
