Awstats 500 Internal Server Error

I installed ispconfig/nginx on ubuntu 12.10 following the how-to:

during the installation, I skipped step 18 which is :
18 Install Vlogger, Webalizer, And AWstats

So now after Ispconfig is set up , i needed awstats or webalizer !
So I followed the guide:

apt-get install vlogger webalizer awstats geoip-database libclass-dbi-mysql-perl

Open /etc/cron.d/awstats afterwards...
... and comment out everything in that file:

So then from OSPconfig I set up a pass for both programs and from the sites tab I accessed the web traffic link but here is what I get


500 Internal Server Error

anyone knows what I should do to make AWSTATS and/or Webalizer work after the fact ispconfig was installed?

Did you check the error log?

 

No, but for some reason the stats started working all of sudden.
