The output shows that ISPConfig is installed and listening on port 8080. Either you see a wrong URL or you run an firewall in front of the server that blocks port 8080.
Hi Till, I have not created a firewall for this instance. I have looked at the control panel in the Firewall manager, it says no firewall to display. On the contrary, I have never used instances with this provider before, how do I check if I am somehow blocking access to 8080. Also, surely I should be able to see the an apache splash screen either by IP / host. The screen is blank. Thanks.
You ,right want to ask their support then. Not necessarily if it is blocked too. But you might want to check apache error and access log files in /etc/apache2/ if you get an error logged there when you access the server with a browser on port 80 (http://) and port 8080 (https://) using the system hostname. You should also try using the IP, maybe the hostname you use just points to a wrong server. You can see in your output that Apache is working and listening on port 80: Code: *:*:*:*::*:80 (937/apache2) And you can see that ISPConfig is working as well and listening on port 8080: Code: *:*:*:*::*:8080 (937/apache2)
