Hi there i've the following configuration server A - master server B - slave now i've to dismiss server A, and want to connect server B, always as slave, on a ne server already running with ispconfig. Is it possibile? Any idea how to do that?
Connecting a slave to another master directly is not possible for 2 reasons: 1) Only the master contains all data, so e.g. clients and other assets will be missing. 2) The ID's of the items (websites, mail domains etc.) will most likely collide. What you can do is that you use the ispconfig migration tool and import the data from the current multiserver setup into the new multiserver setup. But this requires that the old master + slave and the new master + slave are available at the same time, so you would need a new slave server.
I followed the way - create new server - migrate data too difficulut to such kind of migration in other way for now.
