Dear all, I would like to change the webroot for ISPConfig (using nginx) on debian. I know that this will cause problems with suxec but since I am not planning to use suxec this is not a concern. Which files from Ispconfig would I need to modify? Any help would be really appreciated. Regards, Alexander
Till, thank you very much for the instruction. However, I really would like to change the actual webroot (without using mount). Would you happen to know which files I would have to change in ISPConfig3?
You can change the webroot under System > Server config in ispconfig. But this can only be changed before the first website gets added in ispconfig.
That is fantastic! Where can I find it? I currently can only see see settings for the backup directory on a fresh install. This is what I have: Network Configuration The network configuration option is only available for Debian and Ubuntu Servers. Do not enable this option if your network interface is not eth0. IP Address Netmask Gateway Hostname Nameservers Firewall bastille ufw Loglevel Debug Warnings Errors Send email to admin starting with the following level No Notifications Debug Warnings Errors Backup directory Backup directory is a mount? Backup mode Backup web files owned by web user as zip Backup all files in web directory as root user Monit URL Placeholder: [SERVERNAME] Monit User Monit Password Munin URL Placeholder: [SERVERNAME] Munin User Munin Password Check for Linux updates
Sorry for the stupid question. I get the error message: ERROR: Invalid Hostname on the other tabs. Hostname is default from configuration "localhost".
Enter a fully qualified domain name there like server1.example.com. The hostname is read from your os during install, so the os must have had a wrong hostname.
I have changed the hostname in server service to server1.example.com. Unfortunately I still get the same error message. Any ideas?
