Changing the Spamassassin default rules

One of my users has a lot of clients send through emails with attachments and no subject lines. Spamassassin gives them a score for
MISSING_SUBJECT which pushes them over the threshold and they get marked as spam so I want to lower the score that Spamassassin gives. I've tried adding "score MISSING_SUBJECT 0.0" to the bottom of /etc/share/spamassassin/local.cf but that's not working.

Is there another file that I should be editing?

The file you edited is the right one. Did you restart amavis after you changed that file?

    I did.

    /etc/init.d/amavis restart

Made no difference and I can still see the rule being applied in the header.

All sorted. I was editing the wrong file. I needed to edit "/etc/spamassassin/local.cf".
