Debin sarge kernel upgrade help

    Ok ok ok i live in nijmegen

    Ik ben er al 1x geweest echt cool daro (leterlijk), I don't forget my passport

    Kernel:
    i haven't removed a kernel, how do i boot in old kernel (i diden't have rescue disk :( no floppy drive in my server))

    You should only install a SMP kernel if you really have 2 (or more) processors on board.
    ColdDot has only one Xeon processor, so he should not choose a SMP kernel.

    When booting up, it will show you the screen with kernels (you have about 10 seconds time to select an other one).

    That this is I think ColdDoT his problem ;/

    Hans & Edge i haven't install the SMP kernel so thats not my problem :(

    Sorry for duble post but i have fixed the server and everything is running fine now

    (my kernel is back to 2.4)

    the kernel 2.6 wasn't, not even for a little bit

    What was wrong with the 2.6 kernal?

    Kernel 2.6 wansn't even running for a little bit, on startup it was blank.

    so i just removed all the mess, and now it is working again good.
