Good day i have problem with administration at Mandriva2007 i folow The Perfect Setup - Mandriva 2007 Free Edition, everifing work fine, but i need some help with debuging. When i using imap to acess mailserver, is there long delay while autorizing user (maibe). I try catch error in log but there is nothing bad auth.log mail.log all fine. I try disable DNS lookups in postfix but nothing change (disable_dns_lookups =yes) i do not know what try now. maibe some configuration in imap but i dont know where is conf files, many things have changed from MDV2006 to MDV2007 config files structure have changed.now imap is in xinetd.d. Next thing i want to know is how i change configuration to use home_mailbox = Maildir/ I try change configuration in aspconfig web menu and in main.cf but imap not work :/ what i must do? is that step possible? Maildir/ is better i can create subfolder in INBOX folder... I will be happy when someone help my. I realy do not know what now. Im searching in mail list and at forum but i not find answer to this issue. this machine is 1ghz P3 256 mb RAM. ADSL 2048/256
Postfix is not your IMAP daemon. Please try to disable DNS lookups in your IMAP daemon (dovecot or courier). Just check the Maildir checkbox under management > server > settings. ISPConfig does not use the Maildir setting in main.cf to configure this feature.
Thanks but how can i find imap configuration file, now in MDV 2007 is not configuration file for imap in /etc...i canot find him :/ Have someone Ispconfig on Mandriva 2007 ?
Please try to connect again, but this time using the server's IP address instead of a hostname. Does it work then?
I try replace "mail.example.tld" with coresponding ip addres and nothing have changed, same delay when connecting. :/
When i send message sending is fast and after send i have set copy message to "send" folder and this stage is slow same as i want fetch mail. :/
Ok, then this is a problem with your IMAP server. Are there any errors related to IMAP in your mail log?
no errors in mail log. imap server init from .... authentificated user ... logout user... nothing bad, but delay still is...i try reinstall back mandriva 2006.
Solved..... urpme imapd urpmi courier-imap edit -etc/courier/imapd.conf .....everifing works fine now.
