    What's the output of

    I'm not having the same issues as korbynn.
    My isp2 setup on the new server is identical to the existing 'working' live server. Th eonly exception is that my lan ip address is different and the new server is actually a VM. When I test, I change my firwall to route traffic to the VM server ip address instead of the current working server.

    I'm redone the named/bind stuff from perfect server.
    I'm done the chown -R stuff.
    getenforce = disabled

    One strange thing is that the new server has a /var/named/chroot/proc dir (root:root) wheeras the existing server does not have that. other than that, the permission and ownership is the same on both servers.

    Re did step 9 of the CentOS 5.3 perfect server.

    ISP server values:
    named.conf: /var/named/chroot/etc/named.conf
    Zonefiles Dir.: /etc/bind

    Is this correct or am I missing something.

    This must be /var/named/chroot/var/named.

    Strange thing abuot the Zonefile dir, I have 2 working fc9 servers and just put together a debian server last night which is running great (I switched to debian due to this issue), and all 3 servers say /etc/bind and they work. I know there is NO /etc/bind in fc9 (haven't checked debian yet). Seems strange to me.

    Settings on Fedora and Debian servers are different.
