    Hello,

I have a set up using ISPConfig 3.

I have been adding a few websites, but this is the first time that I have tried adding multiple sites under one domain:

    www.site.com
    site1.site.com
    site2.site.com

But, each time I try to go to the site1 or site2, it always directs me back to the main web page.

Someone pointed out that the wild card settings in the DNS are not configured correctly.

    Is their diagnosis right?

If so, how can I, with in ISPConfig, correct this problem?

    Thanks for your ideas/help!

    Joseph

Beside the link that srijan posted about not mixing IP and * in sites you should also check that you did not set wildcard subdomain * in the website as this will redirect all requests for subdomains to the main site. select autosubdomain none or www instead.

    Hello,

    Thanks to both of you.

    YOu mentioned:

    *

    and

    IP

    where are these?

I saw two areas that must be defined:

    IPv4-Address
    Auto-Subdomain
    IPv4 has: *

    autosubdomain has: www

Can you direct me in this please. I am not quite sure where you are talking about to add the * or IP.

    Thanks

    Joseph

    Under the "sites" main button.

After, you click on the website that you want to look at.

You will see the details of your site, including these two things.

    I reread the message.

YOu answered that the area where i need to put:

    "*"

    Is the IPv4 field.

As stated in my message, this field already has: "*"

    In it.

    S, it should work then.

    Have you another idea?

    Thanks

Does it has this in ALL websites of your server that point in DNS to the same IP address?

    Hello,

Yes, the set up is exactly the same for all the websites on this server. This pat of the config was never touched, so it was left at default value.

    Thanks for ideas.
