You can use it but you dont have to. Not sure if it will add the spam tokens in the right database though as tokens have to be added in the spamassasin bayes databse of the amavis user.
and if you look carefully between the "quote" I use one there are other, believe you answered eyes closed. I would say, if not used spamassassin and amavisd, all using ispconfig 3, I ask you if it is used a config that manages the undesirable, but seeing your message, you do not know, right? mz
