    Hi, I have a Ubuntu 14.04 server with ISPConfig 3.
    I have a few users who are not able to login I am trying to enable verbose logging in /etc/dovecot/conf.d/10-logging.conf:
    auth_verbose=yes
    auth_debug=yes
    uth_debug_passwords=yes
    mail_debug=yes
    auth_verbose_passwords=plain
    followed by service dovecote restart
    But none of the settings are reflected in /var/log/mail.log (it does not state the password used by the errored user), does anyone have a tip? Am I changing the wrong config file?

    Yes. The file is /etc/dovecot/dovecot.conf

    Ok, thanks, but should I just add auth_verbose=yes... etc. at the bottom of the file and restart dovocot?
    EDIT:
    Added:
    auth_verbose = yes
    auth_debug = yes
    auth_debug_passwords = yes
    and restarted dovecot.
