ERROR 1045 (28000): Access denied for ...

    ERROR 1045 (28000): Access denied for root @ server

    I've setup a similar setup of MySQL on several servers and granted access to the 'root' @ 'remote host address' to the mysql databases.
    Yet, i cant seem to connect to the newly setup server. even though it has been setup similar like the others.

    Where could i find the solution? :confused:
    Can someone help me out ?

    How silly of me. I'm using Mysql 5.0.32 on Debian 4.0.2 :rolleyes:

    I couldnt fix it. Eventually i installed the base installation of Debian and it works now....:confused:
