Why is acme favored over certbot? My personal experience before I started trying ispconfig was the exact opposite. I favor certbot, mainly because of the existence of danebot.
Anyway, so if I understand correctly, my system is not broken when I favor certbot? And if it is, I would like to understand in what way it is considered 'broken'. As far as I understand, people are free to use whatever certification they prefer to use, as long as you do not set to use LE in ISPconfig, you're fine using your own LE config/setup.

We have never stated that using certbot equals having a broken system, but switching over a system from acme.sh to certbot is not supported and might result in a broken system.

Thorn, according Acme.sh other free certificate entities can be used like ZeroSSL.com or BuyPass.com

It could be possible using any of both instead LE by changing the acme.sh configuration, or it could break ISPC?.
    thanks!

Using a different CA with acme.sh should work, but is not tested and not officially supported.
