I have a vps from a web hosting company and I bought a domain through enom. I am at m whits ends with this and thinking about giving up! I have the vps ip at .X1(the vps Ip address) and the ip of the domain .X2(Ip of the domain). How do I link these two so that when I go to my website it shows it? When I go to the .X1 ip it shows me my website, when I go to .X2 it fails to load and when I go to my actual websites name it has ads on it(guessing it's on the wrong domain). How do I fix this?

Change the dns records of your domain at the isp were you rented the domain name and set the Ip of your server there.
