    Hi there
    I am using on fedora4, with postfix and amavisd-new 2.4.2.
    The configuration was able to notify the adminstrator ([email protected] )but not the recipients for virus email.

    I had the following in amavis.conf below
    Please help
    thank

    $virus_admin = "virus\@host.host.com"; # notifications recip. $mailfrom_notify_admin = undef; # notifications sender
    $mailfrom_notify_recip = "recip\@host.host.com"; # notifications sender
    $mailfrom_notify_spamadmin = "spam\@host.host.com"; # notifications sender
    $notify_method = 'smtp:[127.0.0.1]:10025'; $forward_method = 'smtp:[127.0.0.1]:10025'; # set to undef with milter!

    What's in your mail log when a virus is found and amavisd-new tries to send a mail to the recipient?

    And there's nothing more in your mail log? Because I also don't see a message being sent to the recipient of the original mail... :confused:

    Hi Falko
    problem solved. I need to add
    $warnvirusrecip = 1;
    and
    $warn_offsite = 1;

    Thanks

    Hello,
    i have the same issue, i inserted both in my 50-user
    $warnvirusrecip = 1;
    and
    $warn_offsite = 1;
    but only the Admin gets a mail notification, not the sender???
    Also there is nothing inside the logfiles.
