How to Secure port 8080 with LetsEncrypt on ISPCONFIG server panel

    Does the command:

    hostname -f

    returns the correct FQDN server hostname? The server hostname must be a subdomain like server1.example.com and it must exist in DNS, so that an external server (like the verification servers from let's encrypt) are able to access your server with that hostname.

    Yes it's return the name of the server xxxxxxx.contaboserver.net
    The one it was returned after the ISP installation https://xxxxxxx.contaboserver.net:8080 OR IP:8008
    And the hostname has a DNS (checked with what's my DNS)
    Also a wreid thing is Chrome don't accept to pass the ISP self SSL, it's says NET::ERR_CERT_INVALID but impossible to continue. I have the same page than picture (with another server name)

    Do you have your own domain name? if yes, you should consider changing to hostname to a subdomain of your own domain. it might be that LE does not issue a cert for this generic host name of your provider.
