I setup this howtohttp://www.howtoforge.com/vmware-server-2.0.2-x-on-ubuntu-server-10.04-with-vmware-remote-console-plug-in but before I went to the pre setup that was recommended and followed the setup. It asked me to install ispconfig3. Am I to use ispconfig3 from the first setup to control the vmware servers I setup or am i to install the ispconfig3 on the virtual server I am going to create and somehow change the ip address to the virtual server so I can access it from my browser on my Clint? I'm confused on why they had me setup a perfect server in the first place and the relationship to the vmware application. I hope this is clear. my goal was to setup a virtual server to run websites from in the vmware program . Thank you
You mean this tutorial? http://www.howtoforge.com/perfect-server-ubuntu-10.04-lucid-lynx-ispconfig-3 You just need to follow it up to step 9. You don't need ISPConfig.
