It is possible to see stats of an Howto like views? I want to post my Howtos somewhere, but I wanna see if people where interested on my howtos.
We had such stats in the beginning, but with HowtoForge's popularity and page views increasing, we had to set up some caching mechanisms to lower the server load, that's why we don't have such stats anymore.
this is sad, i think that would be very interesting. Are there any plans to implement stats again in the near Future ? And personal, after one howto of mine received 100k views in a Forum, I am ambitious of getting views ;-) This is egoistic, but this is human nature and let me write howtos ;-)
No, as this would increase the server load a lot. Each page view would result in an additional MySQL UPDATE query...
