    Hi

I have setup 5 websites with ISPconfig and all seems to be working fine. All domains work. The problem I have is when the clients need to log in to ISPConfig they get 502 Bad Gateway and

code=DNS_HOST_NOT_FOUND] The host name was not found during the DNS lookup. Contact your system administrator if the problem is not found by retrying the URL.

Ports have been forwarded and https works locally for the main ISPConfig login. Any ideas on what this is please?

    Regards

Does the host name of your ISPConfig box also work outside of your network, or only in your network? I guess that the DNS record for the hostname needs to be changed. It must point to the public IP address of your router.

Thanks for reply Falko. No it doesn't work from outside of network. Can you offer any suggestions?

    Thanks

    DNS location?

You say the hostname was not found on the DNS lookup.

Where is DNS? Inside of the gateway or outside?

If inside, then TCP and UPD port 53 will have to be allowed through the gateway and forwarded to the appropriate machine. It could also complicate things that appropriate NATs may have to be made too.

Thanks guys this problem is sorted. It was either a ports problem or a proxy problem.

    Thankyou for replies.
