ISPCONFIG hangs on step6 during setup

    Hi all,
I'm trying to install ispconfig on suse 9.1 but it stops on step 6 after displaying "../conf/ssl.crt/server.crt: OK".

There are no error messages, it simply hangs there. Please help.

This is the complete step 6 out put:

STEP 6: Generating X.509 certificate signed by own CA [server.crt]
    Certificate Version (1 or 3) [3]:
    Signature ok
    subject=/C=GB/ST=west sussex/L=crawley/O=dezi,ltd/OU=it/CN=server1/[email protected]
    Getting CA Private Key
Verify: matching certificate & key modulus
    read DSA key
    Verify: matching certificate signature
    ../conf/ssl.crt/server.crt: OK

    Thanks the replies in advance.

    regards,

    sybella

Is it the part where Apache and PHP5 are compiled?

I think it is; but i'm not very sure. I will double check and post the result.

Yes that's where Apache's compiled but before installation.
Where it displays the following message:"
Before you install the package you now should prepare the SSL certificate system by running the 'make certificate' command."

Which runs from step0 to Step6 and then stops.

Thanks for the reply and enjoy your holiday. :)

    regards,

Can you try to accept the default values when the cert is generated?
If that doesn't work, have you tried one of the howtos for SuSE 9.2 or 9.3 on HowtoForge?

I have tried to accept the default values that doesn't work.

I installed following HowtoForge for SuSE 9.2; but couldn't find some of the softwares for suse 9.1; maybe thats what is causing the problem.

    I didn't install the following: php4-dbx, cyrus-sasl-saslauthd, compat-readline4, bind-chrootenv and DB-file; couldn't find them in the rpm distribution for suse 9.1.

I will try searching for them on the net, install them and see if that solves the problem.

    regards,

    sybella.
