Hi, I followed your tutorial for the perfect server https://www.howtoforge.com/perfect-server-centos-7-x86_64-nginx-dovecot-ispconfig-3 and everything works great. my isp (comcast) is blocking port 25. is there a way to change the mail port so that emails will send and receive on another port? i can send on port 587 using comcast relay settings but i can NOT receive and i dont get any error in the mail log. anyone knows how to change incoming port from 25 to something else?
florian, thank you for your response. do you have any advise on a work around for this? if i cant change the port anything that can be done other than upgrading to a business account which is slower and costs alot more. thank you Ben
There is no workaround for a blocked port 25 incoming, you can e.g. get a virtual server in a datacenter and host your server there.
