Ispconfig 3.1.1 dns import zones error

Discussion in 'General' started by servidoresadmin.com, Dec 5, 2016.

  1. Hi Till,
Every time we import a file as dns, the file at /etc/bind of the zone is ending with .err
We have tested with a test zone made from ispconfig without issues with a dns template from ispconfig. Then we copy the dns zone to a file, delete the zone in ispconfig, and then upload the file and the zone is created with error, ending every time with .err.

Let us know if there're any trick to know about importing a dns file.

    Very thanks,

Take a look at the syslog file of the system, bind is reporting there why it rejected that zone (which resulted in the .err file). You can also use the named-checkzone command to test the .err file and get the error.

From #2: You can also use the named-checkzone command to test the .err file and get the error.
